  • The activity is supported under USAID funded project: “Immediate Technical Assistance to Strengthen Emergency Preparedness for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) to India”.

Activities:

Poultry Value Chain Analysis

Recorded activities, movements (using GIS), relationships and the motivations behind decisions / actions people take at all level of poultry business in assigned districts.

Risk Assessment

Conducted HPAI (Bird flu) risk assessment in the context of value chain in targeted areas using field survey tools and GIS based technology.

Secondary Research and Expert consultation

The activity was undertaken to record risk based, people centered policy options related to HPAI risk management in the light of findings of value chain analysis and GIS / Survey based risk assessment.
